Exit and Temporary Exit
You can press Esc
to exit the cursor mode at any time.
Release to Exit
Section titled “Release to Exit”If you entered a cursor mode by holding a shortcut, you can also release the shortcut keys to exit the mode. This allows you to quickly return to normal cursor control without needing to press Esc
every time.
For example, if the shortcut is Control + Option + Command + C
, you can
- hold
Control + Option + Command + C
to enter the mode. - hold at least one of them, for example,
Control
, to stay in the mode. - and release all of them to exit the mode.
If you are in the middle of quick jump, the cursor mode will stay on even if you release the shortcut keys. This is to ensure that you can still use the quick jump feature without interruption. After releasing Space
, the app will move the cursor accordingly and automatically exit the cursor mode.
Temporary Exit

, etc. are essential for keyboard navigation on macOS. When you need to use these keys directly, you can temporarily exit cursor mode by holding Esc
or ~
. This lets you access their normal functions without completely leaving cursor mode.
You may also take advantage of it to type while the claw machine is active.
